Theresa is an Indiana Registered Domestic Mediator and a trained Elder Mediator. She mediates various types of family disputes, such as divorce, parenting time, and co-parenting conflicts. Additionally, she serves as a Parenting Coordinator for parents involved in high-conflict, having completed training through the Cooperative Parenting Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. She has specialized training in Complex Issues in Family Law and Child Custody with the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and has received specialized training in Domestic Abuse Mediation through the Justice Center of Atlanta. As an elder mediator, she works with family members that are dealing with issues pertaining to aging loved ones. These disputes include level and quality of care, safety, inheritance, finances, etc.
Theresa received her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with Highest Distinction from Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs where she studied a pre-law curriculum and forensic science. She graduated at the top of her class and was named Most Outstanding Student in the BSPA Program, was awarded the designation of Chancellor’s Scholar, received two Top 100 Student Awards, and was honored with the Plater Medal for Civic Engagement. She earned a scholarship from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law where she received her Master of Jurisprudence Degree, specializing in Child and Family Law. She served as an intern with the Marion County Superior Court- Civil Division. She has also trained residence hall advisors and college mentors on methods of conflict resolution.
She is a member of the Indiana Association of Mediators, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the National Council for Juvenile and Family Court Judges, as well as a member of the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution and Family Law Sections.
Theresa was born and raised in Northern Michigan and currently lives in Indianapolis with her spouse and five children. She enjoys volunteering for children’s causes, running, kayaking, fishing, and going to the ballet.
